*The ‘Railwaymen’ took on a tour of South America in 1912 playing eight games winning six and drawing the other two.
*O their way to Luton the train carrying the Swindon player became fogbound so the finished the journey by trolleybus and then lost the game 0-7.
*Early in the 1969/70 season Swindon won the Anglo-Italian cup beating AS Roma in the final 5-2 on aggregate, At the end of the season they won the Anglo-Italian Inter League cup beating Napoli in the final.
