Cobblers Past

Way back in the early 1980’s an organisation was set up called the ‘Association of Football

Statisticians’.

Supporters who were interested in the facts and figures exchanged information about their clubs

and a countrywide organisation became worldwide as membership moved into four figures.

With interest growing by the day there were a spate of club histories published as almost every

league club was covered.

Computers replaced books and facts regarding matches, clubs and players were recorded almost as

it happened.

Hence the record of every Cobblers season match and player has been recorded.

Contribution to the programme has been since 1981 and to the Fanzine since it was formed.

The Press and media have had contributions over the years and now it’s the time for the supporter

to share the information.
