FACT

In January 1927 Brentford were leading Oldham 2-1 in an F.A. Cup tie, Fog descended and the referee took the players off and the Brentford manager thought the game had been abandoned & told his players to bath. The referee tried to restart the game but with the Brentford players showered and changed a replay was arranged with the ‘B’s winning 4-2.

FACT

In October 1923 Sam Wynn of Oldham scored two goals for both sides his the ‘Latics’ match v Manchester United. He netted a penalty and free kick for Athletic and two own goals for United.
