FACT 1
In June 1907 the club folded through lack of funds but before the start of the new season Cobridge Church took over their fixtures and changed their name to Port Vale.
FACT 2
Frank McGinnis was signed from Scottish football in 1889 but after three seasons and over 100 goals he died of a kidney disease.
FACT 3
-C. Young scored seven goals in a game v Burton Rangers in 1914, he netted five goals in a match v Blackpool reserves, a four v Brierley Hill Alliance plus three hat-tricks.
