We will be asking you for your memories of that player. We will also be asking you to nominate a player for Cobblers Past Ex-Cobbler of the Week.
Facts;
After suffering a hernia operation then another on his knee Darren was disappointed to be released by Port Vale after nearly eight seasons service
He took them to an industrial tribunal and the Valiants agreed to take him back on giving him six weeks to prove his fitness.
However he never finished the ‘trial period’ as Ian Atkins signed him for Northampton.
He replaced Lee Colkin in the side but when Lee Maddison was signed on the following season Darren lost his place and moved to Exeter. In 2012 was coaching at Doncaster rovers.
In 2005 Darren was invited Back to Port Vale and had a suite named after him.
