Chris came through the ranks at Northampton along with Luke Chambers and won himself a place before he had signed on full terms. He won caps at under-20 level for England.

When Colin Calderwood arrived Chris was loaned out to Kettering and Hornchurch and later Bristol Rovers where ex- manager Kevan Broadhurst was in charge he later signed for the ‘Gas men’on a free transfer After almost signing for Wyco0mbe Wanderers.

In 2008 he joined non-legue Oxford United. In 2009 he joined Crawley on loan before a permenant signing for York City

On joining Hereford in July 2012 Chris played in a friendly v Evesham and after a clash of heads with a team mate which needed several stitches the game was abandoned

Managing director of Carruthers property service in Northampton. He also took an AAT course and set up a business helping sportsmen and women with tax returns.
