THE COBBLERS COMPLETE SIGNING OF JACK BRIDGE

Meet the latest new signing

Northampton Town have signed winger Jack Bridge from Southend United. 22 year old Bridge has made 11 appearances for the Blues having come through the Southend United Academy, and last year spent time on trial with Premier League side AFC Bournemouth. He has also enjoyed two successful loan spells with Chelmsford City, scoring seven goals in 14 games in his most recent loan spell. "Jack has been training with us and has been impressive," said manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. "He is a player who Dean Austin knows very well and we are delighted to have secured the services of a highly rated young player. "Jack is a different type of player to those already at the club, he offers a greater balance in midfield. "He can play out wide or central and we are delighted to add a player who we regard highly to the squad." As part of the agreement between the two clubs, Bridge will not be eligible for Saturday's game between the Cobblers and the Shrimpers at Sixfields
