January Transfer Window 2019 - IN FULL



Here is a look at the January Transfer Window 2019 in full for Northampton Town.

1st January

WINDOW IS OPEN!!

2nd January

Kevin Van Veen Returns to Scunthorpe United for Undisclosed fee.

Van Veen made 35 league appearances for the Cobblers in his yearlong stay and scored seven league goals, three of which came from the penalty spot.

4th January

Yaser Kasim leaves Northampton Town

Kasim contract was cancelled by mutual consent. Kasim played over 10 appearance for the Cobblers.

7th January

Gorge Cox Joins Northampton Town on loan for the rest of the season.

Gorge Cox started his career at Brighton & Hove Albion in 2014/2015 and only played a few games for the first two season in the under 21 Premier leagues. In 2016/17 Cox made an appearance in the EFL Trophy for Brighton. After this Gorge became a more regular member of Brighton's under 21 team. as in 2016/17 he made under 20 appearance for Brighton in Premier League 2. In the season 2017/18 Gorge made under 30 appearance in all competitions. This season so far Gorge has made under 10 appearance in all competitions. Overall in his career his scored one goal.

8th January

Jay Williams and Camron McWilliams signed professional Contracts.

11th January

Billy Waters goes to former club Cheltenham Town on loan

Waters has been restricted to 5 league starts this season and manager Keith Curle says the move is in his best interests.

11th January

Matt Crooks Moves to Rotherham United

Crooks made 57 appearances for the Cobblers, scoring ten goals, having joined the club in the summer of 2017.

14th January

Lewis Ward Returns to Redding and then goes on loan to Forest Green Rovers.

21st January

The Cobblers sign Joe Powell on loan from West Ham

20-year-old Powell made his Hammers debut in this season's 8-0 Carabao Cup win over Macclesfield Town and following that game was named on the substitute's bench for West Ham's Premier League game against Leicester City in October as well as their Carabao Cup fourth round tie with Tottenham Hotspur.

A creative, attacking player, Powell has played over 50 games for the West Ham United under 23 side, scoring seven times in 12 appearances this season.

25th January

Cobblers sign Timi Elsnik on loan from Derby County.

The 20-year-old arrives at the PTS Academy Stadium after spending a successful loan spell at Mansfield Town in the first half of the season where he scored four times in 24 appearances. Elsnik was also on loan with Swindon Town last season where he became a firm fans favourite, scoring 5 times in 25 games in what was another successful time for the Slovenian.

30th January

Hakeem Odoffin Signs for Livingston

Odoffin signed for the Cobblers last summer but has found first team opportunities limited, making ten league starts.

DEADLINE DAY.

Defender Joe Bunney has cut short his season long loan spell at Blackpool and returned to Rochdale on loan from Northampton Town. Bunney will spend the rest of the season on loan at his former club.

19.30

Northampton Town have signed Scunthorpe United central defender Charlie Goode on loan for the rest of the season.23 year old Goode has played 85 times for Scunthorpe, scoring six goals. Three of the goals have come in 25 appearances this season.

Sordell only turned up at the PTS 15 minutes before the deadline but there was enough time to get it over the line. The 27-year-old has scored two goals in 20 appearances for League One Burton this season. His other clubs include Watford, Bolton, Charlton Burnley and Coventry.
