Northampton Town Football Club made 15 signings this transfer window. Brilliant signings down bellow which tells you all about them. Its worth a read.


George Smith

Defender, started his football career Barnsley and made 31 appearances. He was with Barnsley from 2014 to 2016 in between that time he went on loan to Bradford Park Avenue but didn’t make an appearance for them. Smith also went on loan to Crawley Town and made 4 appearance. In 2016 he moved to Gateshead and made 38 appearances and scored one goal.

AARON PIERRE

Defender, started his youth career at Fulham and Brentford and then his senior career at


Brentford in 2012 – 2014 and didn’t make an a appearance for them. While he was at Brentford he went on loan to Cambridge and Wycombe Wanderers and made 8 appearances and scored one goal. Wycombe then signed Aaron In 2014 and he made 121 appearances and scored 8 goals. He also played for the Grenada national team and has made 4 appearances and has scored one goal.


Ash Taylor

Defender, started his career at Tranmere Rovers between 2002 -2014 made 183 appearance and scored 8 goals. While at Tranmere he went on loan to Colwyn Bay and made 14 appearances and scored 3 goals. In 2014 he moved to Aberdeen and made 100 appearances and scored 9 goals and he left there in 2017 to join the Cobblers. Ash also plays for Wales (u19, u21) he has made 4 appearances in total.

Leon Barnet

Defender, started his career at Luton Town in 2002 and made 59 appearances and scored 3


goals. In 2004 he went on loan to Aylesbury United and made 5 appearances, his loan finished and he went back to Luton. In 2007 he joined West Bromwich Albion and made 45 appearance and scored 3 goals. While at WBA he went on loan to Coventry and Norwich and mode 40 appearances and scored one goal. In 2011 Norwich City signed him and Leon made 30 appearances and scored one goal. While at Norwich he went on loan to Cardiff and made 8 appearances. In 2013 Wigan Athletic signed him and he made 81 appearances and scored 5 goals. He left in 2016 and joined Bury and made 24 appearances and he scored one goal.


Regan Poole (ON LOAN)

Defender, started his youth career at Cardiff City and Newport County. In 2014 he made 15 appearances for Newport. In 2015 Manchester United signed him from Newport. He also plays for Wales (u17, u19, u20, u21) he has made 15 appearances.

Sam Foley

Midfielder, started his career at Cheltenham Town in 2006. He went on loan to Barth City and in


2008 and made 6 appearances and scored 2 goals. He left there in 2008 and was signed by Kidderminster Harriers and while there he went on loan to Redditch United and Newport County and he made 21 appearances and scored 6 goals. In 2009 Newport county signed him and he made over 120 appearances and scored over 30 goals. In 2012 he was signed by Yeovil Town and made 88 appearances and scored 7 goals. He went on loan to league one Shrewsbury Town and made 9 appearances. In 2015 he moved to Port Vale and made 77 appearances and scored 7 goals.


Yaser Kasim

Midfielder, he started his youth career at Fulham and moved on to Tottenham. In 2010 he started his senior career at Brighton & Hove Albion and made 1 appearance. While he was there he went on loan to Luton and Macclesfield town and in total and made 16 appearances. In 2013 Swindon Town signed him and he made 112 appearances and scored 7 goals.


Matt Grimes (ON LOAN)

Midfielder, he started his career at Exeter city making 58 appearances and scoring 5 goals. In 2015 he moved to Swansea City and made 4 appearances and during his time at Swansea he went on loan to Blackburn and Leeds and made over 20 appearances in total. He has also played for England (u20, u21) making 16 appearances and scoring 1 goal.


Matt Crooks

Midfielder, he started his youth career at Manchester United in 2009 and he then moved to Huddersfield Town making 1 appearance and went on loan to Halifax Town, Radcliffe Borough, Hartlepool United and Accrington Stanley overall he made over 20 appearances in total. In 2015 Accrington Stanley signed him form Huddersfield and he made 48 appearances and scored 6 goals. In 2016 he moved to Rangers where he made only 2 appearances. Matt went on loan to Scunthorpe United and made 9 appearances and scored 9 goals.


Daniel Powell

Midfielder/winger, he started his youth career at Milton Keynes Dons and he made over 230 appearances and scored over 30 goals. During his time at Milton Keynes he went on loan to Crawley town and made 3 appearances after that in 2009 he went on loan to Forest Green Rovers and he made 24 appearances and scored 6 goals after that in 2010 he went on loan to Darlington and made 5 appearances and scored 1 goal.

Dean Bowditch


Midfielder/Striker, he started his career at Ipswich Town and he made 72 appearances while he

was there he went on loan to Burnley, Wycombe Wanderers, Brighton & Home Albion, Northampton Town, Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford. Made over 45 appearances overall. After his loan spells he joined Yeovil Town and made 71 appearances and scored over 20 goals. In 2011 he moved to Milton Keynes and made over 190 appearances for them and scored 35 goals. And he left there in 2017 to join the cobblers. He also plays for England (u16, u17, u19) and made over 20 appearances.

Billy Walters


Striker, he started his career at Crewe Alexandra in 2013 and made 25 appearances and scored 2 goals in 2015 he moved to Cheltenham Town and he scored 23 goals in 83 appearances.

Chris Long (ON LOAN)

Striker, he started his career at Everton in 2013 and whilst there he went on loan to Milton


Keynes and Brentford and made over 14 appearances and scored 5 goals. In 2015 he left Everton and signed for Burnley and made 10 appearances. He went on loan to Fleetwood Town and Bolton Wanderers and made 25 appearances in total and scored 5 goals. He also plaeds for England (u16,u17,u18, u19, u20) and making 11 appearances and scoring 4 goals.

Luke Coddington


Goalkeeper, he started his career at Middlesbrough and spent 3 seasons there in the championship. He then moved to Huddersfield and went on loan to Wrexham only making 5 appearances. Luke also plays for England (u16, u18, u19) and has made 6 appearances.


Matt Ingram

Goalkeeper, he started his career at Wycombe Wanders and made 124 appearances. He also went on loan to Lewes, Hayes & Yeading United and Oxford City at his time with Wycombe. In 2016 Queens Park Rangers signed him and his made 4 appearances for them before coming on loan to the Cobblers.
