New Signing: Chris Lines


Chris started his footballing career at Britton as a 16-year-old boy before graduating through Bristol Rovers Academy. Chris made 4 appearances for Bristol Rovers in his first year there. Chris was at Bristol Rovers for 8 Seasons making over 190 appearances and scoring over 20 goals.


Chris then moved to Sheffield Wednesday for a fee of £50,000 and he played over 40 games and scored a couple of goals to help them become runners up of League one in 2010-2011 season. While at Wednesday, Chris played a few games in the championship and the same season went on loan to MK Dons where Karl Robinson said ‘Lines was a player I have admired for a number of years now’ Chris made just under 20 appearances for MK.


Chris then signed for League One side Port Vale on a one-year deal and was there for two years making over 70 appearances. While at Port vale, Chris went on loan to home club Bristol Rovers who were in the Conference Premier at the time, he made 6 appearances for them before signing for Rovers again in June 2015.


On 8 May 2019, Lines was announced to be one of nine players who would be leaving the club at the end of their contract. Lines ended his second spell with his boyhood club having made 348 appearances, scoring 34 goals and having achieved three promotions during his two spells at the club
