Cobblers return to PTS Academy Stadium for a midweek match, as we welcome Burry for a 7.45pm kick-off in Sky Bet League Two. Here's all you need to know ahead of the clash...

The referee for Tuesdays game will be CHRISTOPHER SARGINSON, assisted by Matthew Jones and David Plowright. The fourth official will be Michael Webb.
The last time the two sides meet was the 14th April 2018 at Bury and the Cobblers won 3-2 in Sky bet league one, with Ash Taylor scoring to and Sam Hoskins with the other.
*In August 1895 F. Stock paid Bury 25 shillings a season to sell sweets at Gigg Lane, he did so for the next 40 years
* James Settle joined Bury from Bolton for £50, in 1897 and became the first ‘Shaker’ to play for England.
*In October 1899 the team caught a train to play Aston Villa but left their trainer, goalkeeper, kit and food behind. On arriving in Birmingham they bought new kit including boots, an outfield player took over in goal and they played with 10 men.
* In a match v Coventry City in 1948 full back George Griffiths thought he hear the referee’s whistle and picked up the ball in the penalty area. Coventry converted the spot kick , it was the only goal of the game.
*During the 1960’s the club played Allan Jackson who was a Methodist minister and refused to play on religious holidays.
*In 1936 the club formed a baseball team called the ‘Bury Shakers’. The teram did well but was not well supported so lasted one season.
