Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink praised his players as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-1 away win at Bradford.
“I’m very happy with the performance overall and even happier with the result,” he said.
“I felt we bossed the first half and we looked dangerous when we had the ball and on the break.
“Bradford changed things around a bit in the second half but I felt we contained them really well.
“Our intensity dropped a little bit in the last 20 minutes and it was squeaky bum time when they scored but we stuck together and pulled through.
“We took our goals well, John-Joe O'Toole is a focal point for us and at 2-0 we could have killed the game off.
“I’ve not really brought Jordan Turnbull in to play left-back but he can play there and I thought he did a good job today. It wasn’t perfect but he gave us a bit more physicality.
"The boys are working ever so hard and we need to maintain the work rate and keep on improving. We need to keep doing the simple things right and if we do that we will keep on growing.”
