The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Saturday's game.

JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK - 'WE NEED TO MATCH WALSALL'S ENERGY'

Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says it is important that his team match the energy of our opponents as he previews Saturday’s home game against Walsall.

“We need to bounce back,” he said.

“Walsall play with a lot of energy so first we need to match that, compete and try and have a little bit more quality in the final third.

“Confidence is always going to be very fragile when you are losing matches but we all have to stand up to that, work hard and try and put it right. We need to take the problem by the scruff of the neck and go for it.

“We were too open in the first half on Saturday and we didn’t close Oldham down. It was a catalogue of errors in the first half, in the second half we battled but we are a little bit too fragile at times and I

need to help the players more to get that out of us.

“We need to be a little bit more solid but by doing that you take away from the attacking side and that needs more as well because we want to create more chances.

“It’s about getting the balance right and we are working very hard to do that.”
