Northampton Town midfielder Shaun McWilliams has been rewarded for his impressive form with a new, improved 3 year contract at Sixfields. The 19 year old, Northampton born McWilliams, who progressed through the Northampton Town Academy, made his first team debut in the closing weeks of last season, and has so far made ten first team appearances. "I have been very impressed with Shaun, ever since I arrived at the club," said manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. "He is a player with a huge amount of potential and we wanted to make sure we secured his services on a longer term contract. "It is especially pleasing to see a local lad come through the Academy and make such excellent progress and he thoroughly deserves his new contract."
