February 1974:

Cambridge travelled to Rochdale during the power strikes and had to play the game in the afternoon as Rochdale had no compressor to work the flood lights, just 450 watched the game.

April 1995:

The two linesmen in the Cambridge v Plymouth game were named French & Saunders.

August 1974:

The ball boys at the Torquay v Cambridge game were all dismissed as their tops clashed with the Torquay strip.

January 1975

Paul Smith joined Cambridge from Huddersfield for a fee of £1.

December 1974
