Defender Aaron Pierre is a doubt for Saturday’s home game against Bury while the club are waiting on the fitness John-Joe O’Toole.
Pierre was substituted for Leon Barnett in the second half against Plymouth on Tuesday while O’Toole missed the midweek trip to Home Park after coming off just before half-time in last Saturday’s home game against Scunthorpe United.
“Aaron had a problem with his leg, we will need to wait and see with him,” confirmed boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
“John-Joe O'Toole has had a couple of scans and he is progressing well but he is another one we will have to wait and see on.”
The Cobblers boss is however hopeful that Daniel Powell (hamstring) could return against the Shakers and the Cobblers are hopeful that Sam Hoskins (also hamstring) could also be fit for the weekend.
Alex Revell (groin surgery) and Aaron Phillips (thigh) remain sidelined.
